  1. It’s getting ridiculous now. I do understand why parents are worried about cycling with their kids on the roads but the amount of people cycling on the paths of East Dulwich is totally unacceptable. My son was nearly knocked the the ground coming out of our front garden by someone speeding past on a bike. Someone is going to be seriously injured.
  2. Telegraph Hill Playclub is amazing. A short drive or bus toward Nunhead but well worth it. Open every day during term time 9:30-1200
  3. Sure. Absolutely. We live in Dulwich by Alleyns School. I have Felix who turned 3 in October and Tosa who is 18months. They both currently go to nursery 3 days a week and need to go up to four days. I’m wondering whether we change to find a nanny for this four days, or possibly have a mix of the two, which is why I’m flexible at the moment. I really just want to find a great fit for the kids. I’m hoping Felix can start a proper pre-school soon too so it would be more a case of caring for Rosa but doing pick and drop off with Felix, although that isn’t planned for yet. Is there anything else I can share? Thanks!
  4. Hi, I am thinking about the best fit for my two children, would love to chat if possible? I’m free all day today on 07805805895. Thanks so much!
  5. Hi, if you are still looking for a new family, I’d love to chat! Send me a message and I can share more x
  6. It?s a little further away but the Telegraph Hill Playclub is amazing and open every week day
  7. Great you found somewhere! Housing market is an absolute mess and second home owners have a lot to answer for
  8. Flagging this again. I know lots of discussion re: this person?s need for support vs. Need for vigilance, but I witnessed another v disturbing encounter with him in a shop this week and wanted to bring to people?s attention again. The young man carries a window cleaners poll and looks ?well? by most accounts. However once he engages you in conversation it can turn explicit and unpredictable very quickly. It?s happened to me and I?ve seen it happen to others. It worries me
  9. Hello, would love to receive the details if possible, thank you
  10. Had a tricky birth at Kings but still plan to have my second there. The fetal medical centre where you have scans etc is world class, as a research hospital there?s extra precautionary measures re preeclampsia as a result, for example. Also, it has a NICU if god forbid anything was wrong with baby at birth and is part of Kings Health Partnership so very closely linked up with Evelina Children?s Hospital too.
  11. Thanks so much for the kind words all. Pleased to say we agreed with the nursery that the 8 weeks notice should be minus the deposit.
  12. Thank you, so helpful. Naively, I haven?t been told any details of the deposit but it does say they will deduct from final invoice so that definitely suggests we should have it back, as we are giving the 8 weeks. Thanks for the kind thoughts too, it?s been v tough and this debate with nursery last thing we need tbh 🙁
  13. Hi there, looking for advice/ experience if possible. My little one started nursery but after a month there, she has become very unwell, with a number of critical care hospital stays and needing lots of care; as a result I?ve had to leave my job. We made the decision to remove her from nursery as she?s not well enough for that environment and we also can no longer afford it. We confirmed with the nursery and, though it is slightly galling that despite only attending for 10 days and having paid a full month, we still need to pay for 8 weeks further to meet the contract, which states they need 8 weeks notice before withdrawal. We haven?t yet paid but asked whether we could deduct the ?700 deposit we paid from the total owed. They?ve responded saying the deposit won?t be returned and 8 weeks is in addition. It doesn?t say anywhere in contract or correspondence that deposit isn?t returned. Does this sound right? Have any of you given notice and not received deposit back?
  14. We have had someone calling saying they have agreed to clean our windows. He told my husband I?d agreed it and told me my husband had. I?ve come across this person before in ED, he?s very disturbed. A young man in his 30s, a ponytail and fit physique. Any chance it is the same person? Not really sure what to do. He clearly wanted to enter our house.
  15. Hello. I?ve read the previous threads but was interested if any parents would be willing to share their more recent experiences with this local nursery? Thanks!
