  2. @MrsR I've seen mistle thrushes on the running track at Peckham Rye Park. I don't know if they're gregarious like starlings, but there were quite a few.

  6. Happy to report that either the storm took the blessed chimes away, or a neighbour took pity on me, for which many thanks.
  7. Alas, I am surrounded on three sides by gardens with high fences/hedges. If I could scale the fences, the chimes would be long gone. There are seven possible suspects; I haven't the energy to have a potentially explosive conversation with all of them. Posting here allows me to vent. It may be futile, but you never know...
