  1. Gets busy at school drop off and collection time due to the school. Parents who live 300 yards away still seem to insist on driving.
  2. This makes no sense. If there is a 2 car family, then they can have one car on the drive (charging for example) and they can happily block themselves in. Why reduce parking? Makes no sense at all.

  4. A friend in Cambridge told me about this great local service, allowing small local shops to sell locally on-line. Everything from DIY to clothes. It looks like East D and maybe Dulwich in general may be on their radar. If you are interested, please sign up as I hope it will help support our local retailers, bakers, cake shops, makers and artists. Especially if we have another lockdown. https://www.clickitlocal.co.uk
  5. The whole point of the planters was that it was temporary, and funds for cameras not available. Go for it.
  6. This is ridiculous discussion. You have e bikes, scooters, e scooters, runners, walkers, strollers, buggies and dogs all on pavements. And more. We just need to get along. you get bell ends on ebikes, bikes and yes you get bell ends on escooters. Just get a grip and get on with everyone. Or head up a mountain in your own where you don?t need to complain about anyone.

  8. We had an attempted break in at our house not far from Friern, with damage to property at 3am... 2 young people. we have Cam footage. can you give me more info pls?
  9. My wife said the south circular has a burst water main. could be the cause?
  10. I'm hearing that there is a burst watermain on the south circular today. Assuming the SC closes (even if it is only reduced to one lane), where does the traffic go? Cant divert through the village, I guess will have to go up over sydenham hill via west dulwich. Regardless of todays issues, let's just consider the reality of permanently closing routes down.
  11. Ah, that was the local kids, bored. They probably had no idea that the grown ups are engaging in a worthy debate about this. thebestnameshavegone Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > This is a great look, One Dulwich: > https://twitter.com/simonstill/status/128514547519 > 7423616
  12. Hi. I?ve just received a letter from a debt recovery agency, relating to a parking fine at Sainsbury?s dog kennel hill. We overstayed the permitted tiMe. This was because it took i we 2 hrs just to get into the supermarket. The debt recovery company just want money. Horizon parking have no customer lines, Sainsbury?s has no phone lines open. So, how do I resolve this?! Any ideas??
  13. what a bunch of pointless and unpleasant people you are who are complaining about this. its a small local business for gods sake, trying to survive and not furlough its staff and to provide a local resource. get a grip.
  14. I want to add to this general list of inconsiderate people. Today I took my kids to the park early to avoid the crowds, and there was the usual packs of dogs off their leads charging about while the owners stood about chatting (nowhere near 2m apart). One black dog charged up to my daughter and took my sons Man City football off her (left her in tears - and it was his pride & joy) and then bust the ball. The owner just abled after the dog, who proceeded to run all over the Rye and eventually dumped the ball in the river by the play park. I admit to colliding the owner a prick, which wasn't my finest moment.. However, get your %$%?ing dogs under control. The council guidelines are clear. All dogs must be under control. This means trained and responsive to commands, or on a leash. It's simple. I have requested police start to patrol the parks in the mornings as dog walkers are not behaving responsibly to the wider population. Rant over.
