  1. Pretty old model, not economically repairable, but if anyone wants spares or feels like tinkering with it - you're welcome. Booklet included. Collect from Barry Road area.
  2. London Reclaim and Salvage in Nunhead have always been worth going to.
  3. Has anybody tried to book a blood test. I've registered and followed the link to book a test but can get no further than entering the name of Kings College Hospital. The support page is useless. Any tips from someone who has been able to make a booking. Just got it. There is a black 'button' on the right side of my screen that was hardly showing. The support page was unhelpful. A great friend of mine who is elderly and has no computer or smartphone would be completely unable to get a booking. The old system was so easy. This is somebody making money from the NHS
  4. Just found these two Jersey Moths in our garden. Barry Rd area.
  5. Bike space on Barry rd this morning. Obviously working well !
  6. Just found this morning - a Southwark Library card for Astrid in Hindmans Rd. Have now left it at Dulwich Library for you.
  7. Both our dogs hated Frontline and would cringe at the sight of the packet so we switched to a garlic spray. Worked well and they rarely had fleas. We bought it in a pet shop in Walworth Rd, now long gone. I think you can make your own and use a small gaden spray.
  8. Sad to see the last of this shop. We have used it several times over the years. Miss the cat as well. Where will people who don't have washing machines now go?
  9. I dropped my iphone either in Gibbs & Dandy car park yesterday or in the Hindmans Rd/Tyrrell Rd area. iphone 7 in black case. Anybody find it? Have cancelled the phone number so you wouldmn't be able to call. Thank you.
  10. Some years ago I found a large fox dead in the street on a late night dog walk. I rang the council and they came and took it away.
  11. In the past few years my wife and I have been on quite a few marches - anti war, anti brexit , pro NHS etc. All were done with many thousands of fellow marchers and all done in good spirits. We booed outside Downing St. to protest against Bush on his London visit and cheered when a Brexit vote went against the goverment while were in Parliament Square. Did any of these marches have the slighest effect on the powers to be. NO. Britain still invaded Iraq, and Afganistan and left the EU and what mistakes they have turned out to be. If only Tony, George or Boris had asked us two for advice! Extinction Rebellion want to bring London to a standstill, something the IRA failed to do during their campaigns or indeed, the Luftwaffe. I've no doubt a lot have genuine and worthwhile intentions and in many ways we support them, but I think they would have more effect if they blocked Westminster, for example, and prevented the people in power from going about their daily work, but causing a few local traffic problems annoys a small number of people and wastes police time. But any lasting effect - NO.
