  1. Highly recommend Arran too - came the next day to clear up our old shed plus random rubbish. Echo the above posters - he was very efficient and pleasant to deal with. Would definitely use him again.
  2. Surely Jenny Harries was talking about vulnerable children whose parents were hospitalised because of Corona? Cummings could drive up and down the width of England several times - clearly not the indication of a man on his deathbed. seenbeen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I looked into this and found the youtube video > from 24th March > At about 8:25 the ITV news reporter asks the EXACT > question about a small child. 3. Loved John Inge's (Bishop of Worcester) comment yesterday - 'The PM's raisable defence of Cummings is an insult to all those who have made such sacrifices to ensure the safety of others'. Sums it up really.
  4. Just wondering... lots of our neighbours are having friends and family over, one set of neighbours is packing their kids off to grandparents for a few days and the parks are heaving. Don't blame anyone for being fed up with it all... but can't help but think they're relying on the rest of us to keep to the rules to stop a second-wave. (Or I am just being a sucker - if Dominic Cummings can do, why can't we all? Arggh)
  5. They have always given us fantastic service too. Great local business.
  6. Just wanted to recommend Biff shoes: I emailed them on Friday night and my kids had new shoes 20 hours later. They came over with a few options and, with good social distancing, my kids tried them on and when the shoes were too big, they came back an hour later with the right size. Highly recommended and easy process ? particularly if your kids are desperate for new shoes!
  7. Can any recommend a repair person to mend a scorch mark on a corian worktop? Apparently they can be sanded down and repolished? Anyone had any experience? Crossing fingers it's possible as a replacement is nightmarishly expensive! Many thanks.

  10. We're right under it too... and think it's quite localised even in East Dulwich. If you're under the planes they are awful: so low that you can read which airline it is and literally no break from the noise. But even a couple of roads away it's not so bad. People on this thread who don't think it's that bad are probably in those lucky streets. They are more then welcome to come into my back garden and try and have a conversation over the constant rumble! I've signed and thanks for the initiative!
  11. Hi Gather, looking forward to your opening. Could you look at affordability too? Just refilled my shower gel at another local shop (my partner refuses to use soap!?) and 385mls cost ?5.80 which was a bit steep. Sustainability should be for everyone! Many thanks.
