  4. Stephen Tozer came and fitted a stair carpet today terrific job really neat work and am really pleased with the result would heartily recommend his workmanship, timing and costings all excellent.
  5. i have just had a new marmoeleum flooring carried out by Lordship lane flooring. They carried out a perfect job, working quickly, no lumps bumps or rips Marmoleum is really hard to get perfect and they have! I am so happy with the work that they carried out i have no qualms about strongly recommending them terrific work
  6. it will be as good as the tenant are - visit it at all time of the day and night try to see the comings and goings if there are a lot could also check the electrol roll to see how many are in the house hold. I lived in a flat once with 2 flat above one was a one bed but there were 6 Mormons in there - that was really horrible. The the flat at the top was fine for year change of tenant and a loud drunken couple who left tap on moved in again not fun. Check if the it is tenant or owners. Sorry to be the voice of glum but by the time you buy and over you will be staying a fair few year so it is worth check check checking. If its not right you will get the dream home eventually. All the best of luck take your time it is the most expensive purchase you will make and if its right it will look after you for years!
  7. It seems that some people just love to waste you time! you post detail of items for sale, you get a message, you respond you give your address then they do not bother to respond, in the interim you get more messages but your not sure if the item is going to be collected....is this getting to be the norm? is this on the increase? is it possible to do anything about it? Or is there just a lot of more rude folk around - ie they could not be bother to say sorry change of mind
  8. I was told by a very helpful person in Southwark that if a fox is in your garden you have to pay for disposal or if it happen to have enough life left in it and moves on to the public highway then it is for the council to remove. Needless to say the fox at in our back garden managed to get out on to the street......very helpful advice
  9. regardless of who gets to go its always great for a school to get a good Ofsted.
  10. yes the best one is usually home for this age group
  11. The date is looming Date is Sat 10 June 12.00-15.00 have any musical architects dentist lawyers who have a few moment free between playing rugby and being school governors offered their talents! Be minded you often get what you pay for or don't as the case may be
  12. i used Tim see March 27 he provided his insurance certificates he was really organised, I am using him again at another location his prices are very competitive or maybe the way to see it is that others (we had 3 quotes)have inflated prices, he is local so this is also a cost saving, I recommend him and he is a really nice fellow. The job he did was excellent local people came and collected wood, again this must helps keep the prices low so all in he worth using.
  13. perhaps some folk will offer your payment of warm beer is surly going to appeal - however I have never found it a useful currency . Musician work hard and deserve to be fairly paid no one would ever dream of asking their accountant, dentist doctor or lawyer to be paid in warm beer. But good luck. I would love to pay MP's in warm beer and burgers, VAT and Council Tax
