  1. Original 1920’s mirror from a Heals dressing table. Good condition for its age, has a few light scratches Solid limed oak 92.5cm high 43cm wide 2.8cm depth £25 Collect from SE22
  2. Hello I'm looking for a very good carpenter to build a small bespoke fence and gate for a front garden. SE22. Thanks Kirsty
  3. Highly recommend Roger and his son. Great communication, came round quickly and was just so helpful with a difficult situation with our neighbour. What a lovely man, so kind, thank you.
  4. There is a car for sale opposite Balfe?s bike for ?695!
  5. If you?d seen how busy the park has been this weekend you wouldn?t be questioning it. No social distancing at all. And the Local Authority has decided.
  6. Amended. Apologies, I?ve seen a few conflicting messages on Twitter, plus ca change!!
  7. Southwark have finally done the right thing and announced that any parks, park cafes, play parks, tennis courts etc that can be locked, will be locked.
  8. I?ve been scooting into the West End for a year. Best decision I ever made. If you?ve all the right gear, it?s fun even on a wet day. I?m super cautious so probably not as speedy as it could be. Mungo?s Motorcycles on Tyrell is brilliant for lessons and CBT. I had a lesson with him before buying my Vespa to see whether I liked it or not. Highly recommend.
  9. It?s a nightmare on Oakhurst atm, cars are driving so fast and this morning there was a collision as a car reversed in frustration at a road blockage and went straight into a motorbike.
  10. I emailed James McAsh and he sorted it out straight away. They just had to check I was in the right catchment area and I had to complete a few simple forms and it was installed within a few weeks. Great scheme!
  11. An update.....dear Poppy is slowly recovering but has been in a lot of pain, poor thing. It's going to be a very slow recovery for her. The power of EDF strikes again.....the owner of the dogs has seen this or been told about it and gone to the vet and made a very small contribution towards the bill. The police have been informed and they are keen to check the aggression levels of the dogs, hopefully they can make the vet release the name of the person responsible. Please, if you know anything, come forward to stop this happening again. Thank you.
  12. Exactly what Growlybear said, that?s top advice right there. In addition, there are also amazing charities like Something To Look Forward To and Ellie?s Friends (amongst others) who give vouchers to people going through treatment, some are therapy based, some are just lovely treats at a time when you need them.

Aaaah, that makes sense now, thank you for making the connection for me! An important interjection.
  14. Thank you for message, I?m so sorry to hear you had a similar incident, especially after seeing what it?s done to my friend, she?s in bits. There are just too many what if?s (a child, car crash, a fatality) not to ask the community for help. I?m just reporting what happened as my friend is in no state to do so.
  15. My friend and her dog Poppy were walking to my house at about 2pm today. At the junction of Landells and Silvester she saw a man in his approx 60?s with two brown/tan terrier type dogs approaching. Neither dog were on a lead and they were running loose in the road. When they saw Poppy both dogs ran across the road and set upon her. One dog nearly took her jaw off and the other one was mauling her legs. The owner did and said nothing throughout the whole attack. The dogs were totally out of control, the owner didn?t even have leads with him. Poppy is an old lady of thirteen, who is completely deaf and a gentle soul. Thanks to the kind neighbour who saw the attack out of her window and the man who also stopped to help my extremely distressed friend she managed to get Poppy to the Neighbourhood vet. The man with the dogs disappeared without even acknowledging what just happened. Poppy had to go into emergency surgery on her jaw and severe lacerations to her legs and side. Operating on Poppy, at her age was a massive risk especially as she has a heart murmur but it was this or lose her. Although this is a secondary matter, the vet bill is already over ?1000 due to the severity of her injuries and this is only just the start. Our friend can only be thankful that she didn?t have her two small children with her. I?ve been with my friend all afternoon at the vets and they?ve been brilliant. So if anybody knows who this man is, approximately in his 60?s, wearing glasses with two similar looking brown terrier types, who might live near Landells or Silvester please get in contact as this needs to be reported to the police as it was very serious attack and we?d hate for it to happen to anyone else.
