  1. I’d prefer the UK to be a republic, so not interested. However, if those who feel differently want to celebrate then it doesn’t bother me. That said, it’s 2023 not 1953 so shifting all the parked cars around here would be quite the feat!
  2. Hypocrisy abounds on this subject. Easy to blame joggers but I see plenty of non-runners ambling, congregating, chatting, chasing after dogs, teaching kids to ride bikes, sunbathing etc. If the lockdown is to be sustainable it has to be flexible. A hard lockdown would lead to unrest within a month. There has to a balance between slowing the virus and imposing a medium-term lockdown that people can live with. Laying it all on runners is pure projection.

Nothing you can do.

  6. The idea of quieter areas over the Dulwich valley is likely more to do with spot perception than averaged reality. Flightradar shows alot of variation on turns into the final heathrow approach - a "cloud" over the whole area.

For me the loss of Inside 72 left a bit of a hole further up LL. Most of that sort of crowd can now be found at the EDT.

  9. It certainly didn't work for us. Our house had a lean-to kitchen utility room extension when we bought it. We ripped it all out to create a open space with full-width patio and skylight - a common solution of course.

Was referring to the rather sparse design of the place. Didn't look very inviting as a restaurant/cafe.
  11. A case of taking a trendy industrial concept far too seriously.

  13. They'd be mad to rip out that interior. They'd probably get alot of bad feeling for it too.
  14. To get to the other side? Hang on, I may have got this all mixed up...
  15. 90mins? What route are you taking? I can get to soho in an hour. I avoid bothering with overground trains. Out: 40 > Piccadilly line at E&C Back: Northern line Tottenham CR to Oval > 185 The west end is a pain to get to, but it shouldn't take that long consistently. ianc Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > After 22 years in ED, I am now officially fleeing > to Vauxhall.
