This thread isn't just for the parents of children who attend this school, it's about the impact the selfishness of a few has on many other people in the area. You must have been there on an unusual off day.

Sealed bids would be a great idea of they were carefully monitored and adjudicated (preferably by someone other than an estate agent!) If the vendor could set a reserve price, then it would be a much fairer system than the gazumping etc. that still seems so prevalent.

It's really about time some restrictions were put on people driving children to school. Car shares should be compulsory and only allowed then if the school is more than a certain distance away from the school. Difficult to police I know but something needs to be done.

Thank you kford. They've come round and seem to accept it's their problem. The big worry is that we can't find a manhole (nor can our neighbours.)
