A perimenopause and menopause yoga workshop @Oru_space on Lordship Lane this Saturday 23rd March, 13.15-16.15 If you are feeling a lot of heat in your system; hot flushes, irritability and mood swings, then this workshop will be right up your lane. Menopause Yoga Workshop for Hot Flushes and Hot Emotions Saturday 14th October 2023, 10.00-12.00, @Yogariselondon To book: https://www.yogarise.london/workshops/menopause-yoga-for-hot-flushes-and-hot-emotions-with-tiffy-george/ In this workshop we explore the physiology of what’s going on with the all too common symptoms of hot flushes and hot emotions during peri-menopause and menopause, and the triggers that can aggravate these intense symptoms. Hot flushes are the most common menopause symptom. Symptoms can vary from a mild glow to an endless torrent of sweat, and for some, it can cause insomnia, disrupt work and destroy confidence. Hot emotions are also common and, when rages seem to appear out of nowhere, they can feel bewildering to you and those around you. To coincide with World Menopause Day on the 18th October this workshop will offer a toolkit of techniques, guidance, reflection and support to help you move through your menopause journey with ease and confidence. It will provide an enjoyable and safe space where women can come together and share their experiences, laugh and embrace the changes while also learning from one another. Beginners to experienced yoga students are all welcome. Geared towards perimenopausal and menopausal women but open to all with an interest. After completing a one-year full-time yoga teacher training with YogaArts in Australia, she qualified as an International Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher in 2002. She has continued to explore and study many forms of yoga with various teachers over the years: Astanga, Iyengar, restorative and therapeutic yoga, breathwork and meditation, and yoga for pregnancy and beyond. Most recently her ever-deepening passion has led her to develop additional expertise in Menopause YogaTM with Petra Coveney, as well as yoga for pelvic health with Leslie Howard. If you are experiencing any of these pelvic condition or are just plain curious about what is going on ?down there?, then this workshop is for you: Pelvic pain ? lower back pain ? painful sex ? leakage when laughing or sneezing ? going to the loo too often ? prolapsed organs ? pre and post pregnancy. We will locate, assess, soften, stretch, strengthen and exercise the muscles of the pelvic floor. We will explore the effect posture and breathing patterns have on our pelvic health, and learn simple experiential movements to awaken our understanding of this often ignored area.   13. This is a hatha based yoga class. Tiffy weaves aspects of alignment-based Iyengar with flow based Vinyasa. There is lots of breath awareness to anchor your mind and ground your practice in a way that suits you individually. Lots of modifications are offered so that all levels of ability are included. All are welcome - we are a warm, friendly and inclusive bunch. Thursday 8-9.30pm Where: Dance Studio at Harris Girls Academy Fitness Centre, Homestall Road, SE22 0NR.   14. One of our sash windows rattles in the wind, let's in cold during winter and it could do with being double glazed. Any recommendations? I would like to keep the look and feel of wood. 'Bespoke Windows' offer a good wood effect PVC - anyone had any experience with these, any good? Thanks in advance for any advice folks.
