  1. Hi I?m looking for a tutor for my daughter in year 10 who can help with English Lit & Language for the AQA syllabus. Thank you
  2. Yes any bag as long as it?s not huge as it needs to fit in their lockers.
  3. Hi I work there and can confirm that the children in the senior school can use their own bag
  4. I called last Sunday for my parents and they both had their first jab last Tuesday . When I called up the lady said it was for over 70?s but as of last Thursday this changed to over 75?s- no doubt it will change again . When I booked my parents appointment I was offered the choice of the 2 vaccines - Pfizer is at Guys and the Oxford one is at St Thomas?s. Although the hotline number is for Guys the vaccination clinic is not actually in the hospital which confused my parents when they got there . However both said it was very efficient and they were seen on time and felt very safe going there.
  5. I?m afraid having the windows open is not enough , with regards to extractor fans that is something that?s being looked into. I agree something must be done my husband has not worked since lockdown and the government have literally made no mention of dentists at all !! The message from 111 is literally put up with the pain unless it?s life threatening such as an abscess that has burst or swelling to the face. My husband feels so frustrated for his patients!

This is what I have said in my previous post, there isn?t enough PPE for Dentists which is one of the reasons they can?t go back , trust me Dentists would love to be able to go to work but it?s not safe enough without the correct PPE and also they need to overcome the problem of the aerosols that they use last in the air for around 3 hours so effectively they would only be able to see one patient every 3 hours !! With regards to Kings yes they are seeing emergencies but it has to be near enough life threatening, I meant the dental school is closed until September
  7. Unfortunately you might find it hard to find a dentist to fix your problem, my husband is a dentist and his surgery has been closed since March , with no signs of reopening at the moment as there is not enough PPE for dentists and their procedures are deemed to risky . Does your dentist have an emergency number , my husband has an emergency phone so he can still speak to his patients and offer advice/antibiotics, he had patients that called 111 and they said the advice given was useless ! With regards to Kings dental this is shut until September at the earliest. Getting seen at Guys is also tricky I think it needs to be an absolute emergency, my husband referred one of his patients they said they will see him but when he got there they turned him away ! Unfortunately dentists have been completely disregarded in the crisis , with no clear path of when and how they can reopen .
  8. No problem, I will look at the Facebook page , we are self isolating, we are pretty sure my husband has the virus
  9. Hi , where can I see a list of products that you offer ? Many thanks
  10. Hi I have a daughter in year 8 at Sydenham High and one joining year 7 in September, feel free to send me a DM
  11. Beckenham spa also do this type of party but I found their prices and the one at Dulwich College very overpriced. I had my 10 years old pool party at Downham Leisure centre , much cheaper and the obstacle course was loved by all the children.
  12. Hi any suggestions for the best way to get back from Gatwick to Herne Hill, our flight gets in at 10:45pm and we only have hand luggage but can?t see a direct route from Victoria to Herne hill at that time. Thanks
  13. Hi you might want to consider Woldingham school, although it appears to be far the journey from Herne hill is doable, as you can either get a train to Victoria and then a train straight to Woldingham, or go to Denmark hill and change at Clapham junction, aprt 45 minutes all in, at Clapham junction there are at least 30-40 girls getting on. Once the girls arrive at Woldingham Station the school is actually on the grounds of the train station, they are picked up by the school coach and driven up to the school. They offer day pupil, flexi boarding where you can stay 1/2 night a week, weekly boarding and full boarding.
  14. My daughter started in year 7 in September, so far we love the school, it is certainly not a pressure cooker in year 7 but she certainly gets enough h/w usually three pieces a night and 4 over the weekend. We live in Herne Hill but don?t use the school bus , I drive her on the way to work as they can go in from 7:30 and I either pick her up or she gets the bus with friends . The 176 is very popular route for a lot of girls. DM me if you need any further details.
  15. Hi , have the teachers considered that your son might have dysgraphia- a couple of children have this in my daughters year group and when it is a long writing task they are allowed to use computers, the difference in the actual content of their work has been amazing.
