  1. The Goose Is Out! Fran McGillivray & Mike Burke, Jackdaw (featuring Rob Anderson), James Riley: The Ivy House 40 Stuart Road, Fri 24 June, 7pm. Tickets here: https://www.wegottickets.com/thegooseisout Fran McGillivray & Mike Burke have long been Goose favourites, and we are delighted to be welcoming them back as part of this Americana Night. They recently released a fantastic album, "Rain" with Roger Nunn which got brilliant reviews ? expect a storming set from this excellent duo! ?A new twist on old music?. Rock ?n? Reel JackDaw is a union of Rob Anderson and a number of London musicians, primarily from the local Americana community. Rather than a band per se, JackDaw is home for songs written by Rob and Wayne Drury and live performances include a varying combination of the musicians involved. Greg Johnson of Maverick Magazine has said of their recent album, ?No Cactus?: ?This is an excellent album? great musicians, fine songwriting and a wonderful laid back groove.? With one hand scribbling lyrics onto the back of a roadmap, and the other held aloft to thumb down a ride, London born singer-songwriter James Riley is a troubadour of the kind many thought no longer exist. A ?fiendishly proficient? guitarist, singer, and a roadrunner to match, James Riley chronicles the story of his experiences through clamorous, jubilant bluegrass ?n? soul and exquisitely spun yarns, sewn through ethereal, almost hymn-like ballads of love and life. ?It hooked us on first listen?from the harmonies to the guitar work there?s nothing to not like? - Folk Radio UK Fran McGillivray & Mike Burke Jackdaw James Riley

And, obviously, if you don?t feel well, please don?t come (and get well soon!) The Copper Family of Rottingdean have been singing their songs for generations, lovingly preserving them for the future. We were so delighted to have them come and sing in East Dulwich, in the intimate space Upstairs At The Mag, particularly as their public appearances outside Sussex are quite rare. http://www.thecopperfamily.com/ Creeping Jane are Nyge and Sue, who have been running the Goose since 2008 and thirteen years later have got onto the stage themselves. With mics. And no accompaniment. Chris Lamb sings unaccompanied and is a regular at the Goose is Out! singarounds and at several other London folk clubs and singarounds. The Copper Family
