  1. Hi, We used one and found it really great to put the baby down in different parts of the flat so it negated the need for USB?s to have a Moses basket etc too. It was also really helpful in providing a consistent sleep routine at grandparents, on holiday etc. It made co-sleeping safer too. I would definitely use it again if we had another!
  2. U9L8 gets 20% off until 15/05/2019 plus free delivery and returns
  3. I used Young Gums No-Refined Sugar 1st Birthday Cake recipe and it went down a treat with grandparents and Baby alike.
  4. Hi ladies, Looking for a rec for local salon/freelancer that does eyebrow microblading. Thanks in advance.
  5. Not that I?ve been to a wedding there but I?ve seen them held at Dulwich Picture Gallery. Congratulations!
  6. Hi everyone, I?m planning a naming day ceremony for our son who will be roughly 9mths at the time. I?d been thinking about having an officiator for the ceremony and just got off the phone from a wonderful sounding lady but I must admit I?m a bit taken aback by the cost; ?250! Is this the standard amount I can expect to be quoted? It?ll be held in Headley, near Epsom, so please do send over your suggestions if you have used anyone suitable that you would recommend. Many thanks!
  7. Thank you so much to everyone who had commented here or replied to me personally. I was under the Denmark Hill team at the Midwives House on Coldharbour Lane but had zero continuity of care despite arranging my appointments at the same time/day. Without going into too much detail it was an incredibly long labour involving 3 shift changes of midwives, induction, epidural failure and then my baby got stuck. It was an intense experience to say the least and my respect for women has hit a lifetime high! I?ve just spoken to someone on the phone at Kings about arranging a debriefing session and she was very helpful, so thank you, sincerely
  8. Does anyone have any experience of a birth debrief after a traumatic delivery? Do you go through the GP or contact the midwifery unit? I had my baby at Kings. Thanks in advance x
  9. Here?s a tip I was late to the game in learning: if you go to and fro Hospital in a black cab (order on Gett) then you can wheel your pushchair in and won?t require a car seat. You can always call a firm in advance and just check if you?re concerned. Legally, they can?t refuse you! I put one of those bed pads down on the seat, to be polite more than anything else.
  10. So after giving the machine drum a few good cleans I have rewashed everything his skin comes into direct contact with. I?ve alsobthen put an extra rinse on. And I started him on Aveeno. I?m not sure where the tipping point was but in just a week his skin has improved drastically. It has lost the sandpaper effect and bumpiness that it had before. We?re so happy with the progress! Thank you again to everyone who commented. It feels like we?re starting to get it under control xx
  11. Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to respond. I?ll have to try some of the recommendations by trial and error to see what works for him. First stop, cleaning the machine drum. Thank you!!!
  12. Hi, We?re struggling a bit to manage our baby?s eczema and despite slathering him in coconut oil, cetraben and hydrocortisone (the latter just on particularly bad patches) his skin doesn?t seem to be making much improvement. It?s been worse with the warm weather as of late. We use oilatum in the bath and Child?s Farm to wash him. He is mostly breastfed with one formula feed a day. I eat very little dairy but could cut out the bit I do have in tea and occasional cheese if necessary. At this stage I?m looking to change the laundry detergent for something more natural. Currently on fairy non-bio ... any other suggestions from experience?
  13. I?ve written to the seller, told them it stinks and asked what they propose. If they come back to me with an unsatisfactory response then I?ll go through the refund process through the Resolution Centre. I suspect he might tell me to wash it and it?ll be fine but hell no! Wasn?t cheap either. Thanks all!
  14. Hi, I?m wondering how others have resolved cases on eBay before. Situation is that I bought a fabric SkipHop baby playmate/gym described as ?hardly used? and when I opened it on arrival found that it stinks of cigarette smoke! The advert didn?t say it came from a smoker?s home - wouldn?t have bid on it if that had been the case. Any advice?
