Many live in rose tinted world where they don't necessarily work long hours and rely on public transport to and from home in rush hour after school drop off (and vice versa for pick up in the evenings).
  3. Many people are in need right now, having been made redundant or just struggling to make ends meet. If anyone would consider making a small donation, please go to the Kingswood TRA website here and please please spread the word: https://www.kingswoodestatetra.org/ Thanks for reading
  4. I wonder if they could try a ticket system, whereby you collect a ticket then return when your number is up (which would allow for more shopping elsewhere and less time wasted). Perhaps someone could suggest it next time they are in there - or Moxons... or any of the other rammed shops on Lordship Lane come to that! :)
  5. Thanks for sharing. Signed and shared the petition. The only consultation I am aware of was done with those residents living on the streets themselves. The wider residential population I strongly believe do not support these roads being closed to vehicles. It pleases the few not the many and causes huge problems for public transport trying to use already congested main roads. It does not discourage drivers, that is the point I would try to get across to those who are able to cycle or walk everywhere and perhaps do not have to work to the same schedule as the rest of us.
  6. There has been a huge amount of fundraising for the Albrighton Community Centre, which I have tried to help myself as it is a great cause and helps many families and vulnerable individuals on the estate on Dog Kennel Hill... BUT it has come to my attention that there are many families and people generally in need on the Kingswood Estate in West Dulwich. They are collecting food and toiletries to help make people's Christmases less stressful and more enjoyable for those who may have lost jobs or are just generally struggling to make ends meet. To find out more and consider donating, please visit their website and get in touch: https://www.kingswoodestatetra.org/ Thanks for reading
