  1. Our state primary did zoom lessons for the kids every day pre Christmas during a two week isolation. There were a lot of kids on the calls but it worked pretty well. So it is allowed and possible!
  2. They are just by our kitchen bi-fold door so we end up with lots in the house. No stings yet but have two small children to protect so ideally would like them gone!
  3. We have a problem with wasps - we think they are solitary wasps and therefore don?t have a nest. They are living in our wooden sleepers and burrowing out. We had them treated twice last year and we hoped that after the freezing winter they would be gone but no such luck. Has anyone else had these and had success getting rid of them? It?s not an easy sleeper bed to remove unfortunately so that would really be our last option. Any suggestions gratefully received!
  4. Shutter Studio - we were really happy with them and have recommended them to friends too who have also been happy. Very knowledgeable, polite and tidy.
  5. Probeauty on Hindmans Road is my favourite http://www.probeautyclinic.co.uk
  6. Thanks for all your suggestions, I now have 2 people lined up to quote. Thanks!
  7. We are wanting to get a new boiler, we tried British gas but after thy cancelled our appointment for a quote they now can't give another one until February. Can anyone recommend anyone locally who is good a reliable that could come and give us a quote? Thanks
  8. I would like to put a radiator cover in our hallway but after measuring up it seems our radiator is very high 95cm. Annoyingly I can only seem to find ones up to about 93cm! Has anyone had one made? And how much did it cost? Really don't want to spend a fortune but struggling to find anything ready made that would work.
  9. we used KFH earlier in the year - they sold our house within 4 days to the first people that viewed, before it even got listed on line. They also secured us a higher price than the other agents had suggested even putting it on the market for. This may have just been pot luck as they had a buyer they knew would be interested but overall it was a good experience. A few stumbles when it came to exchange but I think that is common of all sales.
  10. Has anyone had any experience with refurbishing Victorian doors? We have recently moved into a new house and the doors are not in very good condition - they have lots of paint splatters and years worth of dark stains that are uneven. Some are in better condition than others - I don't really know whether it is best to try and restore them or just to buy new ones. Do you know of any companies/carpenters that do this sort of think - i understand they could potentially be dipped to take off all the old layers and start fresh? Any advice gratefully received.
  11. Hi - I also need to get some victorian doors trimmed down as we have had a new carpet fitted and the doors no longer fit. Just tried to call 123Matt but the number above doesn't seem to work?
  12. Hi - I am expecting my second in late feb. My first will be coming up to 3 by then. Would love to join the meet-up. will send number via pm for whatsapp group. Thanks!
  13. Still looking for recommendations if anyone has any?
  14. We are hoping to move our small family bathroom into the bedroom next to it and turn the existing bathroom into a study area. I'd love some recommendations from anyone who has had a good experience moving a bathroom into a different room. Many thanks
