  1. Great as ever. Discovered a significant drip coming from our stop cock. Aria came around the next day and fixed it very quickly. Even tightened the kitchen taps as he noticed it wobbling! Prompt, transparent about costs and super polite and friendly.
  2. This is about the 6th time we've used Vinton over the last 7 years for various jobs. As ever he did a great job, was reasonably priced, punctual, worked hard and is also a nice guy to have around. I'm almost reticent to write a review as no doubt he'll get booked up and we'll need him again soon!
  3. New low; they have failed to redirect our mail from our old SE22 address to our new SE22 address for the last 3 months. Despite paying £79 for the service no refund has been offered. Our estate agent has been doing the job for them. I've complained three times and written to Helen Hays twice. I'm not sure what else to do.
  4. I cycle that route on the school run daily and agree its a total mess. Pedestrians (including small children) wandering into the road, no clear directions for cyclists coming from different directions, delivery vans parking right across the road. The lights for the crossing have been covered for months so no-one walking knew if it was a green light for bikes- consequently I've met a lot of people asking if the bike signals are working, given the state of it all. Feels like only a matter of time before there's an accident.
  5. So great that ti forum continues. Thank you both for creating and developing it!
  6. Have a look on locrating.com. But as Angelina says, it doesn't have a fixed catchment. Each year the number of applications, especially those from the 6 or so stipulated priority groups specified in a schools admissions criteria, will impact the last distance offered.
  7. For a male or female child? Asking as I believe Harris boys have had some training on trauma informed schools, so might be worth some investigation. They also have a school councillor in site 4 days a week.
  8. I adore our new induction hob! Yes, it has dials. Induction is not the same as those with fiddly halogen/ceramic hobs you get in Centre Parcs etc.! Possibly needing new pans is the main downside. but IKEA do them so you needn't spend a fortune if yours aren't suitable (most of ours were.) And so much safer with the kids- it generates heat in the pan rather than the hob surface so harder for them to burn themselves, and they can't turn it on by fiddling with the dials (as it needs a pan on it). A doddle to clean and cleaner air. And so fast! I love it. My mum has found an induction hob with one gas ring as they were worried about electrical outages (they live in a remote place). so that's also possible...
  9. We did some research on this and concluded that currently our Edwardian terrace just isn't able to accommodate it. We ended up with a hydrogen ready boiler instead, and hope that the technology will make it simpler soon

  11. Another recommendation for John and Gabi. John finished our kitchen re-fresh this week. We are so glad we found him. Before we booked he came over twice to help us decide what was the most cost effective way to upgrade some of the tatty bits of our inherited kitchen. He immediately knew what our cupboards were and gave us options for finding new doors. It's the first kitchen we've "done" so really appreciated his expertise. Gabi is responsive, professional and organised and navigated an issue with one of our suppliers that delayed our installation brilliantly. They deserve every great review here. You'll probably have to wait to get booked in but I promise its worth it!
  12. That is a virus that infects chimpanzees, used to carry the SARs COV 2 spike protein. Produced in kidney cells. Not part of a chimpanzee. Viruses aren't humans or animals.
  13. There's an ad for a lost ginger cat in Moxon's window- I'll see if I can take a photo when I next walk past
  14. Herne Hill health hub were advertising
