We went on Friday. Wow, just WOW ! I loved it so much, I left them their first TripAdvisor review.

There?s a young man who?s been zooming around on his moped on three streets for a few weeks. Whilst I?m sure he?s having a lot of fun doing his wheelies, I think he needs to slow down a bit ( and maybe try some other streets ) Although it?s not crime of the century, feel that a local Bobby needs to have a quite word with him Anybody know the best way to report this ? Also - if anybody else has seen, have you got the numberplate ( I?m old and slow and have a memory like a goldfish )

Since the carwash at Sainsburys/DHFC has re-opened, it has been truly dreadful: they take ages, do a mediocre job and have put their prices up to boot (I've tried them 3 times now to check they weren't just having an off day) The guys on Ashbourne Grove have always been good but its always so busy there I can never get in Any recommendations ? (no smart a**e comments about buying a hosepipe, I've got nowhere to do it)

AZ Had it 09:00 armache all day and feeling "a little slow" woke up 04:00 with high temp / fever , which went on for about 6 hour 12 hours "feeling hungover" after that Worse than many here, but nothing compared to the potential of getting covid

why would you think you have a grounds to appeal ? Theres some pretty clear signs to say you shouldn't be driving on those roads at the time of restrictions

on the corner of Thorncombe and Trossachs is, what appears to be, a small community centre - a room, with doors onto an outside space Its part of the "Dutch" estate In 15 years or living here, I have NEVER seen it used. That seems such a shame - i know how hard it is to find places to have children's birthday parties, community meetings or to do a yoga group Does anybody know who has control of this ? - is it available for rent/use. I have no specific need - just seems such a shame that its not being utilised

Trossachs Road From 1 December, Trossachs Road is creating an Advent Calendar. Each evening, up to Christmas, around 5-6pm, a different house will "open" a decorated window to celebrate the season. Attached shows which houses & which days

Me too. The site says "Automatic name and address verification has failed: We automatically attempt to verify your residency" I've lived here for 20 years, am on electoral role, have a Southwark council tax ID and my driving license is at this address. My suspicion, therefore, is that the automatic verification NEVER works. I also suspect that the photo of my driving license is currently in a queue at an offshore processing centre

I am completely conflicted on this issue. I love the football club and the fact its in our area. I also see the preservation of open space in our city of utmost importance I think its disingenuous to say "oh, we're just laying a new pitch and putting up a fence" - no, its a new football stadium - a fundamental change to the use of the space from current. Although a derelict astro-pitch isn't going to make it onto the Countryfile calendar , it is a much cherished open space. If we're talking about misinformation - where did the ?30M come from ? I assume that is the value that Meadow have decided based on planning permission being granted (minus a couple M for building costs of new stadium) ? - I'd expect the value of the land without such permission to be more inline with what they paid for it More than anything, I think allowing this sets a dangerous precedent - allow a developer to buy land from cherished local organisations (i.e. football clubs) with the intention of using that as leverage to build on MOL. This is an easy way out for Southwark and the GLA - standing firm with CPOs and the existing usage covenants could have worked IMO - but its clearly too late for that now A very sad episode all in all. The football club and many in this community have simply been used.

@jamesmcash - would really appreciate your representation on this. Alleyns seem to be playing the game of "this is only a tiny incremental change". The fact is that ANY change to this already unsustainable problem is not acceptable I have no fundamental problem with a school (whether state or independently funded) wanting to create more classrooms - but I do have a problem with a school that has blatantly shown disregard for local traffic and pollution issues trying to mask the problem through skewed reports and vague initiatives. By way of illustration, the Upper School (6th Form) handbook sent out to students only a week ago has a section on students who drive to school "Pupils who drive to School must show due consideration to our neighbours when parking, and should not obstruct driveways, public thoroughfares or access to properties" This is not a policy from an organisation that genuinely is trying to reduce car use IMO this planning permission should only be given on the basis that firm/legal commitments are made on the initives that Alleyns claim they are implmenting

As Penguin says - there's ultimately only 2 choices: Virgin network or BT network (sold by many others) Another dimension is that the BT based stuff can either be traditional (copper based) or their fibre Its worth noting that the virgin infrastructure is c.25 years old whereas the BT fibre infra is only c.10 years old - that, with overselling, is the root-cause of virgins issues around here IMO My experience of Virgin (5ish years) was horrendous - very unreliable and their customer service is terrible Moved to BT - much more reliable but patchy customer service Been with sky now for last 3 years. Its based on BT fibre, but their customer service is superior

JEEEESS - will everybody just calm down a little. Some people want to walk with their kids or their dogs, some people want to run. We're all stressed out by this and all finding our own ways of dealing with it within our 1 hour exercise window Please - lets stop looking to blame certain categories of people. Can EVERYBODY please be mindful and understanding of others a little more Yes - some runners are inconsiderate by trying to squeeze past people - most aren't Yes - some walkers are inconsiderate by walking 2/3 abreast when they know there's lots of runners about - most aren't Lets all be a little bit more considerate of each other: runners try to give people a nice wide berth. Walkers, lets not dominate the pavement and act surprised when somebody running approaches

Next week, ITV are showing a number of short dramas that have been created under lockdown conditions: filmed by actors in their own homes with the directors and crew working on zoom. The second one of these, "Ron and Russell" (Tuesday at 9pm) stars local actors Rob & Tom Glennister and was all shot here in SE22 Lots of local residents have become extras (filmed from over 2 metres away).
