NOW FOUND!

LOST - Friday afternoon (19 Nov), possibly on Peckham Rye Common, or the 343 bus, some time after 3.15pm. Black A3 hardback sketch book, containing GCSE course work - lots of portraits, anatomical drawings etc. My daughter is desperate to get it back, so if you've seen it lying about on the common or on the bus, please pm or e-mail me. Many thanks!

Hi intexasatthemoment, yes, we tried the bus depot and it was eventually handed in in the middle of the night. My daughter is hugely relieved - she reckoned there was about 60 hours hard work in there!

If this happens to anyone else, I would definitely recommend contacting the bus depot directly (not the central Lost Property people as it takes a while to get there). The Camberwell depot were really helpful - after our initial enquiry in the early evening, they suggested contacting them again in the middle of the night when all the buses were back, which we did.

Thanks for your concern!

    • Nope that is boring,  I want something creative.  Maybe turn them into Xmas cards.  I understand from those daytime television programmes that don't involve buying houses, DIY, antiques, bargain hunting and the second World War that this is called 'upcycling'. AI suggests: Upcycling old cheque books can involve repurposing the paper from old checks into creative items like notebooks, journals, art pieces, gift tags, bookmarks, decorative paper, or even small boxes, by cutting, decorating, and assembling the paper to create new functional or decorative objects, while ensuring any personal banking information is properly obscured or removed.
