I really struggled with this with Little Saff, and I never could tell the difference in her cries... maybe there wasn't any? I mean, everything was pain or discomfort to her. Hungry=pain, tired=pain, frustrated=pain, scared=pain, etc. She never had just a grumble or a fuss. Everything that was worth crying about seemed to tip her straight into full on screams (thankfully easily calmed by cuddles and booby). If figures she's turning into a proper little drama queen as a toddler. I might have to start calling her Little Diva.

My first one was a bit like that and cried for no apparent reason I could discern. Twin II had a shriek like an angry seagull.

New baby actually does have quite a few cries and finally finally I have sussed that huffing and panting and writhing in his sleep is wind.

    • It’s already been scaled down by those who don’t want change for the last 15+ years
    • It's about scale.  London was a low rise city and the massive developments in the Elephant, Vauxhall Cross, the City and no doubt elsewhere have come from Livingstone's time as Mayor where he recognised that we need far more office space in London to compete on the world financial circuit,  That said interesting that there is still massive investment in retail such as Battersea Power Station and Kings Cross at a time where more and more purchases are on line. As with everything there is probably an acceptable compromise and perhaps the project will be scaled down a little.
    • We’ve had a parcel delivered to our address on Landells Rd for a V Appleby. Have tried a bunch of neighbours but no luck finding them. Please drop me a message if it’s you or if you know them! Thanks
    • I'm all for good design v bad design (accepting that can be subjective) but I suspect most people formally and actively objecting to this (and many similar schemes across the country) aren' TOO exercised by the design - it's just blocking for blocking sake and is a major reason this country can't build anything If we are going to house people, not everyone is going to have a parking space or garden - sorry kids. look to Europe and other parts of the world where denser housing is more commonplace. I can't see any reason why a major capital like London can't build schemes of this scale
