For those that haven't spotted this. The proposal is to make a quiet cycle route more attractive through East Dulwich - it joins us in Adys Road, then Crystal Palace Road, Goodrich Road for a few metres, then Landells Road to Barry Road.

The idea is to remove central islands, place lots of double yellow lines to make it easier for motor vehicles to pass people cycling. The end result has also been shown to see people driving at faster speeds. WE know that higher motor vehicles speeds discourage cycling.

I believe the proposals deeply flawed and are designed to give the impression of 'doing something' spending cycle budgets but will have minimal impact in meeting the objective of more people cycling. But will see the area have increased motor vehicles speeds and more reduction in places for people to park locally.
