Hello East Dulwich

This is just a quick introduction if you're unaware of the pop-up print shop that is at Hawkins Framing at 350 Lordship Lane. I'm a local Art dealer & consultant and own Gas Gallery, which is predominantly online but I do lots of events and I'm sure some of you are familiar with me !

I'm doing a collaboration with Jamie at Hawkins and curated a collection of Art prints that are on sale in the shop and next year we plan to have a series of shows that will focus on both local and not so local talent.

If you're looking for gift ideas then I've curated a collection on my website and there's a healthy amount of stock available in Hawkins. Unfortunately I'm not there in person this weekend due to family commitments but Jamie and his team will be happy to help you if you want to pop in and have a look.

  It's about scale. London was a low rise city and the massive developments in the Elephant, Vauxhall Cross, the City and no doubt elsewhere have come from Livingstone's time as Mayor where he recognised that we need far more office space in London to compete on the world financial circuit, That said interesting that there is still massive investment in retail such as Battersea Power Station and Kings Cross at a time where more and more purchases are on line. As with everything there is probably an acceptable compromise and perhaps the project will be scaled down a little.
