seanmlow
Speaking of the playground, that area is attracting a great deal of underage drinking. God I sound old (only 24!). However, I saw from my flat window some poor boy getting happy slapped and had to call the cops! Peckhamgatecrasher
I live on Adys Road and there has been increased activity recently. It's usually minxy little vixens screaming their wares. They live in the churchyard at St John's. I'm up for the Peckham Foxhunter Stakes if anyone cares to join me. Mark
it's known as screaming vixens when Ms Fox has got the horn and let's everyone know about it. A carefully aimed shotgun usually puts a stop to it. Cuthbert Dibble
Best way to stop foxes getting in your garden? Wee round the borders. They hate the smell. And, hey, it's fun! Elfy
I live near Goose Green. An injured fox came into our garden on Saturday morning to die. He must have been run over. I'm not the biggest fan of the scrawny creatures, but it was actually quite harrowing...seeing the fear in his eyes. Called the RSPCA and various fox protection leagues, but no-one could make it to SE London to help the little fellow on his way. Eventually took a couple of hours, and then my husband had to shovel him into a black bag...not the dignified burial one would hope for! Amelie
Screaming foxes and/or cats in Belvoir Road last night, very vocal. It reminded me of that sketch by Jasper Carrott, of the zoo's panda being intimdated by the rabbits who were chanting 'Easy! Easy!' at him. Asset
Oh Elfy, that's horrible, I would have been distraught.I get gangs of foxes in my street at night and the noise is pretty freaky at times. Peckhamgatecrasher
I had a similar incident with a very scrawny fox at work. By the time the RSPCA chap turned up the fox had already died. Chap said it was very common - there are too many foxes and not enough food and the pack reject the weak ones who just slope off to die. I had assumed it was an old fox, but in fact it was quite young though fully grown.
