Now sold. Road bike - Cannondale Synapse 5 (54cm frame) with Shimano 105 gears - ?400

Recommended Posts

This is a great, relatively low mileage alloy framed (with carbon forks) road bike, particularly for those who prefer a bit of comfort over pure speed (although it is pretty light and fast). I purchased it new in 2012 (I think it's the 2011 model) but the bike has been upgraded to add Fulcrum Racing Quattro aero wheels (cost new about ?250). They are on the bike (see pics) but the original RS10 wheelset is included if you want to change them over. The tyres have been upgraded for London riding and are now Continental Gator Hardshell highly puncture resistant tyres. The pedals have also been upgraded to Look KEO Classic pedals (see pics). The bike is in very good mechanical condition, it shows some signs of wear and tear on frame, but not very much as you can see from the pics. The rear cassette is quite new - probably about 200 miles or so ago as is the new padded handle bar tape. The saddle is new (also upgraded).

The bike has a relatively low mileage for its age (it wasn't used for 3 years) and has always been kept inside in the dry. It has never had any sort of a crash. It has been regularly serviced locally.

Rather than list the specs, here's some links to the bike original spec details (with some reviews) and reviews on the Fulcrum Quattro and original wheels...
