Couple looking for a new home

Hi all,

My partner Olly and I are looking for a new home and would be able to move in next weekend (Aug 4/5).

We are hoping for an affordable 1 bed flat. Sharing also considered if the right vibe and a room appropriate for a couple. ?800-1200 depending on the place of course. We also love gardens!

Olly is British, 34 and is an actor/heritage worker and I am Danish, 29 and work in music publishing. We are calm, considerate, easy-going souls and really love Dulwich.

We like to travel when we can, camp in our VW, go for walks and drink the occasional glass of wine.

Thanks so much for reading. Hope to hear from you!

Kind regards,

Marie-Louise

Hi there.

Would you be interested in a studio flat between East Dulwich and Honor Oak park? (quite near to Peckham Rye). ?850m pcm plus bills. It's a beautiful bedroom/siting room with a separate kitchen in a large converted Victorian house. If you are used to small space camper van life you might love it, but it may be too small for two people? There is access to a large communal garden.

    • Naaah, it's rubbish - it would be a change of use so would need planning. https://www.planningdirect.co.uk/planningappeals/affordable-planning-applications/change-of-use/commercial-to-takeaway-change-of-use There's not enough footfall for a McDonalds, anyway, and they're quite picky about their sites
    • So let's never do anything that might improve an area, because it will just be dragged down to the level of what's presently there? Is that what you are saying? I don't have the time or the inclination to do the research, but I'm pretty sure that I have read  that when people who had lived in a very run down area  were given  nice surroundings, they appreciated and looked after them.
