LanaJade
Hi I purchased this a few weeks ago with an aim of getting it on the road, however I have had no had the time or cash to take it to a bike shop, it has been well looked after by previous owner and has lots of paperwork and still has an MOT.66k on the clockThe bike is in good condition and shiney. The problem is that when you put the key in and try to start it, it just clicks and wont tuen the engine on. I have no idea about bikes and would like to sell to someone that will fix and enjoy it Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/208601-suzuki-gs500-02-plate-needs-attention-sold/ Share on other sites

Only minor issue is the tips are all worn out but I'd love someone to get more use out of them! LanaJade
Well... Cosmetically its not a rust bucket and the body is in good condition... Whats your point... Pointless remark... Yawn...peckham_ryu Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> LanaJade Wrote:> --------------------------------------------------> -----> > Hi I purchased this a few weeks ago with an aim> of> > getting it on the road, however I have had no> had> > the time or cash to take it to a bike shop, it> has> > been well looked after by previous owner and> has> > lots of paperwork and still has an MOT.> > > > 66k on the clock> > > > The bike is in good condition and shiney. > > > > The problem is that when you put the key in and> > try to start it, it just clicks and wont tuen> the> > engine on. As it is, we are to believe that someone who "knows nothing about bikes" bought one to fix up, and then realised they didn't have the time or money to do anything after all, and has absolutely no idea how serious or trivial the starting problem is. Hmmm. We're assured it's been well looked after ? by someone who supposedly knows nothing about it so wouldn't therefore know e difference between "well looked after" and "thrashed to within an inch of its life". Either the seller hopes we were born yesterday, or was herself ... one of those is more likely than the other! I don't make a habit of taking the pp out of seller's ads, but this one's trying to take the pp out of us, it's fair game :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/208601-suzuki-gs500-02-plate-needs-attention-sold/#findComment-1294405 Share on other sites
LanaJade
Thanks for your input, this has now sold, heres a ripe backstory of the sale for you... The kind gentleman that came, came with a hammer banged it a few times on the starter motor and what do you know! It started and he drove it away for a tidy ?300. I call that a bargain... Im 38 weeks pregnant and ready to drop and dont have time for manual labour! Thanks for your kind suggestion on the screwdrivers....
