?500 (five hundred pounds) Waterstones book token

How I would dearly love to go wild in Waterstones and blow ?500 on books...sadly however I very much need to prioritise the gas bill, and am therefore offering this for sale for ?410.

It can be used by anyone and I will happily accompany the buyer to Waterstones so you can check the sum on the card before handing over the loot. It is valid indefintely and stays valid unless you don't use it at all for a period of 24 months.

Ideal opportunity to get a discount on your present buying for the next few years, or as a gift for e.g. a medical student. Of for yourself, to go wild in Waterstones with.

This was a prize.

Please Private Message me if interested.

It works like a payment card, with ?500 on it. You don't have to spend all the ?500 at once, you can buy a series of small value things with it.

Here is a quote from the Waterstone's website re terms and conditions for gift cards:

"No change or refunds will be given where the sales transaction is for an amount less than the balance on the card but the balance may be applied to future purchases." and here is the web address for that info:

Hi

No, sadly you can't. You can't swap it for a series of smaller gift cards - that's explained in the terms and conditions. Once someone buys a gift card with ?500 on it you have to spend it on ?500 worth of goods at Waterstones, although you don't have to spend it all at once.

So - if anyone wants ?500 to spend at Waterstones but only wants to pay ?410 for it, please contact me. It's a bargain!

Hello Jules and Boo, thank you for giving me the spot on correct advice and apologies for my getting it wrong.

Having nipped into Waterstones today to check, it turns out I can swap the ?500 voucher for a series of smaller value ones.

So.....who would like an instant cash win? Yes, I am offering Waterstones gift cards at 20% discount (up to the limit of ?400 in value), ?50 vouchers in exchange for ?40 cash.

Perfect purchase for the prudent person in precarious....times. Can meet you in e.g. ED tavern to do swap.

This allows me to pay my gas bill (which is what I thought I would be able to do with the ?500 prize) and you can treat yourself or a.n.other in Waterstones, win win.

(Should I admit the ?500 prize was for my outstanding ability to understand contracts etc?...whoops).
