I'm being plagued with calls from Bolivia Mauritania and other places.

Evidently this is now a global scam affecting thousands of people world wide.

The calls only ring for a few seconds and are designed to encourage people to return the call.

Obviously I am not going to return a call to these destinations but people who have, have had bills

$20 to hundreds of dollars. I have managed to answer a couple of call and get a recorded message in a

foreign language followed by a BEEP. Possibly just cutting off or asking you to leave a message.

I have contacted EE and no outstanding calls or high rate calls are on my bill.

Just be aware and be very careful if you get any calls from foreign destinations,

I just cleared down. The calls started at 03.00am this morning but I am still getting them.

I am having to block the numbers but new numbers keep arriving.

    • Wouldn't it make more sense to ask the guy who posted the rumours for the source of the information? The Crown & Greyhound refurb was a big job - not surprising that it took longer than just a simple repainting. But renovating the Grove would be even bigger because it's totally wrecked, and there's a shortage of skilled labour and much more expensive materials now...
    • Rather bizarrely, I received a text from TJ surgery offering this service. To be clear, no data was asked for in the text so I don't suspect a scam but surely this is dodgy? Where does my DNA info end up and who would have access? I'm going to the surgery on the invite date to ask precisely this.
    • I used Emmaus https://emmaus.org.uk/slc/ to clear my grandfathers house last year. They were great. They all charge for this service so will come and give you a quote first.
    • Hi, does anyone know of any charities or companies that can come and clear your house to be donated for a good cause? I know the British heart foundation does but wondering if there are others? We are moving overseas and hoping to donate most of our belongings in one swoop if we can! Thanks.
