Experienced, trustworthy housekeeper/cleaner required

Sadly, after the return home of our previous wonderful housekeeper after a number of years we are now looking for a very reliable, hardworking and trustworthy person to help us keep our house in running order.

We are looking for that person who is perfectionist and has the ability to look around and work out what needs to be done and prioritise this while paying attention to details. It is that person that would treat our house and they would treat their own.

The role involes the usual general cleaning duties i.e dusting and cleaning, floors and windows(inside!)washing and ironing. From time-to-time we may ask you to do other errands like picking up dry cleaning, some shopping which is all included in your hourly salary.

We dont have children but we do have cats (which are as precious) so animal friendly, non-allergic is a must.

We have a good idea of how many hours per week it takes to keep the house in top shape but appreciate it takes a few weeks to get up and running and in to a routine so we envisage between 8-10 hours per week initially probably dropping back to 6-8 hours.

Salary is ?13/hr.

If you are interested in helping us on a long term basis, drop us a line. Multiple references will be required email and mobile phone numbers please.

No agencies please.

Hi Jeremy.

I have come across your advertisement and understand you are looking for a cleaner/housekeeper.

I am a small cleaning company looking to take on more work and yours would be ideal as it would work well around my little boy and school. We are a pet family so totally understand the care and compassion there.

No job is too big or small.

I would be happy to provide references if required.

I look for to hearing from you, my contact number is 07507275457

Kind Regards

Adele

    • Anyone got a recommendation for travel insurance? We’re going to Australia & possibly on to the Far East for several weeks soon, & trying to work out the best insrance. We’re 60+ but fit & Although one of us has a health condition it doesn’t need treatment & we’re both in good health apart from that. Each policy seems to offer something different so any recommendations would be helpful thanks.
    • I am currently doing refresher lessons with Nick.  After not driving for a few years and feeling quite nervous. Nick has been patient and professional. Giving me a flexible plan to adapt to the things I need to work on. Would highly recommend!!
    • It was always quite a strange place in some ways,  though the food was usually very good. Although...... We ate there fairly recently. We had been headed to Chern Thai, but they were closed  It was the night  after Valentine's day,  and Il Mirto were still offering a special menu. One of the items  was a gorgonzola pasta dish. I really like gorgonzola, so I ordered it. However it was really bland (though a massive portion) and there was no discernable taste of gorgonzola. When I queried this, the chef said he had put a lot of gorgonzola in. Further discussion ascertained that he had used  the mild kind of gorgonzola (aka to me as the completely pointless tasteless kind) , not the piccante, as "some people don't like the taste of gorgonzola." Erm. Why would someone who didn't like gorgonzola order a dish whose USP was gorgonzola in the first place? I didn't pursue it further, but it was an extremely disappointing meal from my point of view  We just paid up and left. ETA: Il Mirto opened a second place in Nunhead Lane, didn't they, a long time ago? On the stretch between the Rye and The Old Nun's Head. It didn't last long, if memory serves. It seemed an odd place to open a restaurant at the time, though there used to be a pub there, I can't remember its name  Does anybody else remember this?
    • a little while ago, I saw it for sale in an estate agents.
