daisylou79
Hello. Just looking for some advice. We're thinking of having a combined naming ceremony/first birthday for our daughter in the spring (lots of time to plan - just trying to be organised for once!) Has anyone done this? If so, did you do a humanist ceremony or use the services at a local town hall? And where did you hold it, if it was a humanist ceremony? We're looking for a venue around E Dulwich/Denmark Hill/Herne Hill for around 30 people. We'll consider somewhere catered or a place with facilities for us to cater it ourselves. And finally, how did it go down with your friends and family? Having read the info on the humanist website, it seems perfect for us. But it will be a first for both our families - most tend to get christened or do nothing - and I am wondering what they will think of it all! Thanks in advance. simonethebeaver
We had a humanist naming ceremony for our daughter last weekend. We did it our garden at home. We had lots of positive feedback from our guests and it was a lovely occasion.
