My year 12 daughter is not getting on with her choices and looking to move 6th form, does anyone have experience of moving a student at this stage. She is creative and practical and not necessarily looking to go to university but looking towards apprenticeship or some other form of learning on the job.

Any ideas greatly appreciated as she is not loving her current subjects (art A level - happy with tho ) but finance and psychology Btec not so much .

Thanks in advance !

Would an Art and Design BTEC extended diploma be the way to go? This is done over two years and is equivalent to 3 A levels. Many students leave during year 12 and start sixth form again. Unfortunately due to COVID the number of apprenticeships available has dropped dramatically.

Christ The King 6th Form college do it at their Lewisham, Emmanuel site.

Southwark college and Lewisham College offer a University of the Arts London level 3 Art course that is one year that can be followed by a second year which is free if you are under 19 when you start.

AI suggests: Upcycling old cheque books can involve repurposing the paper from old checks into creative items like notebooks, journals, art pieces, gift tags, bookmarks, decorative paper, or even small boxes, by cutting, decorating, and assembling the paper to create new functional or decorative objects, while ensuring any personal banking information is properly obscured or removed.
