Hi all

My parents are looking for a good solicitor to advise on obtaining the ?right to manage? from their freeholder. Situation is particularly difficult with freeholder being MYN (awful to deal with). Others may have useful experiences to share. This is a big ongoing stress for my parents and the other leaseholders.

Grateful for any help or advice.

Many thanks!

MYN has given right to manage over to leaseholders in the past whilst retaining the freehold. Local leaseholders in SE22 have achieved this.

But do you still want him as a freeholder? If not then have you looked at going full on and buying the freehold yourselves? You'd have share of freehold and run your own leases. And that should mean no more MYN and probably less hassle.

Hi, we renewed our lease with a company called Amphlett Lissimore in Crystal Palace. I am not being paid to advertise them. They are experts in Leasehold law and may be able to help you. For other advice re leasehold law I recommend you join the newsletter of Leasehold KNowledge Partnership (Google that and you'll get the link).
