Help with alarm system

Hi

We have a 1980s fitted Optima 2 plus burgler alarm. Whenever the mains power is off the alarm rings & we can't override to turn it off.

Can anyone help? We are about to do lots of building work & will need electrics off a lot so really need to sort this!
