Help to fix Split in Pipework

I have a slit in external waste pipe that I need to fix Cheaply..

Is there some sealant (Epoxy Resin or the Like)

If you?ve exterior mastic type product, that?ll give you a temp fix.

Just apply it when dry and with a dry day after for it to dry out.

Fibreglass will do it - get some from Halfords - you can use a tin with acivator or be more sophisticated and use the mesh.

You wont get a pretty repair.

You can get repair tape from Toolstation etc

Tape less messy than fibreglass

You could try pipe repair tape but always best to tie it in with a wire tie after sticking it on to give a stronger seal

Best fix is just to cut the drain pipe and make it back up with a short length and a replacement spout.

Not clear why it's spilt and not a place where you'd expect it to split either. If you can remove the lower two brackets, replace the final piece of pipe with a new one from one of the local DIY stores or All Type roofing on the Lane, they may have an odd piece knocking around the yard (sort of opposite Rose the butcher)

Or if that fails you could always try one of the local handy(wo)man

Was caused by Two large (24" x 18" x 2") paving stones being left leaning against the pipework

during garden work. Had not noticed it until I moved them a few weeks after work had ended.

Sealed it with Fernox LS-X

Still a tiny drip after a few applications.

Will see if it clears up after a couple more layers of Resin..

Ahh Fernox, always keep some with me but use it on leaking copper pipework.
