Sue
If there are goods in the vehicle which need to be kept refrigerated, how else are they going to do it?I feel your pain. I have complained about this in the past (different vehicle) until the reason was explained to me. walkingtall
Hi Sue. I agree with your statement but the smell of diesel fumes in my bedroom at 7 o?clock in the morning it?s not a nice way to be woken up. Maybe it?s that I am becoming a miserable old sod Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/294943-engine-running/#findComment-1539997 Share on other sites
malumbu
You can report it if it is visibly smoky (few are nowadays)https://www.gov.uk/report-smoky-vehiclePlease write to your MP asking them to write to the Secretary of State for the Environment asking them why there are not more controls stopping this. You can also write to the Mayor of London. Also you may wish to join environmental groups such as Client Earth or Clean Air in London who campaign for better air quality. https://cleanair.london/ https://www.clientearth.org/Good luck Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/294943-engine-running/#findComment-1540122 Share on other sites

Ossito
On a similar note, I have noticed that there is a coffee van in Dulwich Sports Club which spends all Sunday morning with its Diesel engine running right next to the astroturf where kids are playing. I can?t help thinking there must be a healthier way of making coffee than pumping diesel fumes into the lungs of exercising kids? Nigello
Why not address your concerns to them directly? Better than posting here where it is unlikely to effect any change for the better. Nigello
I meant Ossito, whose comments were directly above my response. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/294943-engine-running/#findComment-1540363 Share on other sites
