Sebo Hoover Repair

Does anyone know of and can recommend a local repair person for a Sebo vacuum cleaner?:

What's the problem with it?

It's dead. Have changed the fuse but still no power.

Have you tried it in different sockets?

As Sue suggests try it in a different plug socket.

Did the machine die while you were using it, or did you go to use it and it will not start?

When you turn it on, do you hear any sound or do any lights come on, thinking that as you say it's dead, nothing is happening

What Sebo model is it?

Sebo vacuum cleaners are really reliable so I'm surprised you are experiencing problems.

I'm presuming the plug is sealed although you can change the fuse located in the rear of the plug top.

Did a quick internet search and it suggests:

"Check the active wand, the flexible hose, filter bag and micro-filters, and any on-board attachments that may be clogged. Also remove the brush roller to check for blockages. ... Inspect the filter bag and micro-filters for blockages."

These can all prevent the machine from running, Sebo's have an automatic cut out if there is a blockage.

Hope this helps, the more info you can provide, it may help in finding out why it will not start. I've had one for 20+ years and never had it not start for me.

Also try wiggling the cable by the on/off switch

Tried it again today and guess what?.... it worked!
