Any questions please let me know - you are entirely free to choose the offer/discount that best suits your business.

We will also have a newsletter going out to members, where we will promote specific offers by a different business each month.

This will be an affordable, community spirited and great way to reach new customers in the local area!

Hi Esme,

In the email you sent me I didnt spot how much you propose membership is going to cost, unless I'm going blind. And are membership fees something you decide, or something we decide collectively (i.e. is this a democratic scheme or a dictatorial one?) Just askin' :-)

Cost will obviously be a factor in whether businesses join or not given that there are lots of free ways of advertising our services out there. I'd need to be convinced what the added value of this scheme would be. I'm not sure I am convinced yet.

Discuss.

    • Not sure what point you are making I have long since been aware of the issues, and would never have gone for it.  Maybe it cannot be applied without capturing damp.  I question why government part funded it.  But I also question why individuals did not do their own research.  This took me five second, it took longer to cut and paste it here: Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors The RICS advises homeowners to get independent advice from a qualified professional who is not affiliated with the installer or manufacturer. They also recommend not installing spray foam in listed or protected buildings without prior consent.   Property Care Association The PCA recommends that homeowners carry out appropriate checks to determine if spray foam is suitable for their roof. They also created a protocol for surveyors and lenders to make informed decisions about properties with spray foam insulation.     HomeOwners Alliance The HomeOwners Alliance recommends that homeowners avoid installing spray foam roof insulation.
