Tradesman recommendations

Finally...an offer I have put down for a property was accepted!

Thought I would be over the moon and excited but I feel overwhelmed and have started to worry about all the work I have to do to the new property.

I would greatly greatly appreciate if you could kindly share recommendations for various tradesmen/suppliers

Firstly I need to knock down couple of walls and I think one of them is a load bearing wall so may need to consult a structural engineer.

Secondly I would like to find a company which does kitchen cabinet doors updating as well as reshaping kitchen from U shape to L shape.

Also, would need to re-carpet all 1st and 2nd floors.

And we might be getting bi-folding doors.

Lastly, there is a separate garage at the end of the garden and I?d like to convert it to an office so need to make a new door and windows..

Would also be great if you could recommend any brands for paint, carpet, kitchen, etc!

Many thanks for your help in advance =)

    • Ah! That would explain the absence of the route at the Library last night...  It's connected to the water leak/road works on Frien Road as per this post - "water leak frien road" Also: FRIERN ROAD, DULWICH: Route 12 is starting and ending journeys at Peckham Rye, Nigel Road due to an unsafe road surface. Towards Dulwich Library, there is NO SERVICE from Peckham Rye, Nigel Road to Dulwich Library. Towards Oxford Circus, there is NO SERVICE from Barry Road/Etherow Street to Peckham Rye/East Dulwich Road. Use route 197 between Peckham Rye and Dulwich Library.

    • Good Evening, my partner is studying for her child psychotherapy master's with the NHS Tavistock and Portman clinic. She is studying to become a child psychotherapist, as part of this course she needs to study the relationship between a mother and a newborn baby. She has to observe the newborn child with the mother for 1 hour a week over a 2 year period, she can be very flexible on the day/time each week and it's ok to miss a few weeks here and there for holidays etc. If she doesn't manage to find a mother and child to study soon then she will have to stay for another year in her master's, she is really stressed because that adds a large financial burden. She has worked really hard to get to this point. Please please please if you know anyone that has a newborn baby less than 4 weeks old or is pregnant and willing to take part-message me. She is willing to travel anywhere and is flexible on the time, preferably in southeast London. She had a mother and child recently agree but they have had to leave the country for an emergency so she is suddenly very worried and quite desperate. The official line is that the mothers start to notice things about their children that they would never have realised. The study is mainly focused on understanding child development and is said to be a very rewarding experience. As a side note, this is not related to Transgender issues- the Tavistock and Portman made it clear at the start of the course that they no longer deal with Transgender patients but they are nonetheless proud of their history. If anyone was willing to take part, she would ensure to send information verifying who she is and would meet you in a public place of your choosing. I understand it seems quite creepy and you wouldn't be crazy for thinking this is an advert put up by a creep.
    • Just found out that unused weekly transfers can be carried forward up to a max of 5, previously it was 2, which means less pressure on the wild card...
