East Dulwich Station Engineering works

Hi everyone.

East Dulwich Station has been closed almost every weekend for the past few months now for engineering works.

Does anyone know how long this is going to go on for? Such a pain having to get rail replacement or buses all the time.

I’m not sure but I think it’s works to the bridge across the South Circular at Tulse Hill.  It was happening last Saturday as ai could see workers on the track as well as underneath.

They tend to go in waves... Looking at https://www.southernrailway.com/travel-information/plan-your-journey/planned-engineering-work for July gives

• No trains 1/2 July
• No trains 15/16 July

Thanks for reply. Very frustrating.

It was last weekend, this weekend and all through July. Tried to call southern to ask how long it will go on for but they don’t seem to know either.

Yes it is very frustrating, especially when you throw in the strike-days too. It does seem ludicrous that for two consecutive weekends there will be no trains along our line and only one weekend out of 4  from the end of June to middle of July.

I just moved back to ED and the station appears to still be closed on weekends. Is there an end to the Engineering Works?

Between strike days and engineering works there is very little weekend service at the moment.
