Looking for a general builder fo kitchen and bathroom renovation

Recommended Posts

Hi all, any recommendations for a low cost good quality reliable builder to take care of the following work for me at my flat:

Bathroom renovation (new suite and painting)

Small Kitchen renovation (4 units and painting)

Paint 4rooms...

Basic work for a good qual builder.

Thank you

I can recommend David O'Brien and his team, they did some structural work at our house but he has lots of recommendations on here and the Virtual Norwood forum for all kinds of building work including kitchens and bathrooms.

We were really happy with the work he did. He works with quite a big team so was able to fit us in at short notice. He doesn't demand lots of money upfront and his prices are very reasonable. All the work he did for us was inspected by a surveyor from the council's building control department, who signed it off. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and would definitely use him again.

His number is 07960 938621.

    • Not sure what point you are making I have long since been aware of the issues, and would never have gone for it.  Maybe it cannot be applied without capturing damp.  I question why government part funded it.  But I also question why individuals did not do their own research.  This took me five second, it took longer to cut and paste it here: Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors The RICS advises homeowners to get independent advice from a qualified professional who is not affiliated with the installer or manufacturer. They also recommend not installing spray foam in listed or protected buildings without prior consent.   Property Care Association The PCA recommends that homeowners carry out appropriate checks to determine if spray foam is suitable for their roof. They also created a protocol for surveyors and lenders to make informed decisions about properties with spray foam insulation.     HomeOwners Alliance The HomeOwners Alliance recommends that homeowners avoid installing spray foam roof insulation.
