Neck, Shoulders & Upper Back Pilates Workshop at PUSH Studios Saturday 22nd June 1.30 - 3.30pm

Recommended Posts

Join us at PUSH Studios for a Pilates Workshop with Jenny Smith, specifically focusing on neck, shoulders and upper back issues on Saturday 22nd June 1.30 - 3.30pm/ £24 with Jenny Smith.

In this workshop we will look at our lifestyles and everyday activities that can contribute towards disfunction and discomfort in the upper body. These could be working at a desk all day, driving, cycling or watching TV from a squashy sofa - all of which can affect our mobility and strength. We will then look at what we can do about it by: practicing exercises to strengthen the muscles of the neck, shoulders and upper back exploring ways to increase safe joint mobility of the upper torso and neck finding ways to release tightness and tension especially in the neck and shoulder girdle learning about the connection between the function of the upper back and the rest of the body. At the end of the workshop participants will have learned and have access to a 10 minute workout which (if practiced regularly) will improve the posture, alignment, strength and mobility of the upper back.

PUSH Studios can be found in Blackwater Court, behind William Rose Butchers off Lordship Lane. Visit www.pushstudios.co.uk for more information and booking.

    • Someone is peed off due to a theft and wanted to vent.  I'm not sure what response they were after beyond 'there there', or put the thief in prison and throw away the key.  I've had a few thefts in the past but not felt the need to share here.  Like it or not but a thread like this is open to some mirth. I was tempted to post after offering a good fridge free of charge on this site the person failed to turn up, and the scrap people cut the compressor and left the rest for me to take to the tip.  But I got over it.  Street WhatsApp shares stuff like this -  generally don't leave thing out in, or near the street, as some will think they are there to take.  I digress..... Looking forward to some witty comments 😁
    • Probably that's its below or above the acceptable level for swimming (7.2-7.6)
    • They did the same under the Tories though? "The Southwark element of council tax has been increased by 4.99% (2% adult social care precept plus 2.99% local increase) for 2024- 25, being the maximum local council tax increase permitted without breaching the government referendum cap of 5%. 8 Feb 2024"
