There has been much macho posturing about chilli consumption in the past "I can handle a strong one", "Give a me a powerful shiny red one every time" and so on.

However, these reported feats of chili-consumption have never been observed; until now.

Last night at the Curry Club meeting in Jaflong, Mr Floating Onion publically scoffed his way through a dish of the very spicy Chicken Naga and then through the raw naga chilli that garnished the dish.

He did go a rather strange colour and spontainously lose 5 pints of perspiration, nontheless the deed was done with 7 witnesses.

Hail to the Chief!

..... and the Chef, the food was very good.

The Naga dish wasn't anywhere near as hot as a vindaloo - it was enough to cause a pleasant humm of hotness and no worse for that

But the Naga chili itself - in it's raw form which sat (I believe as a garnish) atop the dish is one of the hottests chillis around. Frankly if we here from Onion this morning I will be amazed as his system will have some "sorting out" to do - but as Michael says, he did it and he did it in style. All hail..

AI suggests: Upcycling old cheque books can involve repurposing the paper from old checks into creative items like notebooks, journals, art pieces, gift tags, bookmarks, decorative paper, or even small boxes, by cutting, decorating, and assembling the paper to create new functional or decorative objects, while ensuring any personal banking information is properly obscured or removed. And there is vid too
