Nancy Kerr, James Fagan & Tim Van Eyken, Sarah Lloyd & Ian Kennedy, Sophia Lyons at The Ivy House, 40 Stuart Road SE15 3BE,  Friday 24 April  7.00pm.

Brilliant actor-musician Tim van Eyken (melodeon, voice, guitar) and celebrated Anglo-Australian duo Nancy Kerr & James Fagan (fiddle, bouzouki & voices) have all previously been to the Goose in their solo (Tim) and duo (Nancy and James) versions, and tonight we are delighted to welcome them to The Ivy House as a trio!

Together they make beautiful and intuitive arrangements of wonderful music, ranging from gentle harmonies to full, high-energy dance tunes, from old ballads to brilliant contemporary compositions.

Local couple Sarah Lloyd & Ian Kennedy sing mainly traditional songs, with lovely harmonies.

Sophia Lyons has a beautiful voice, sings unaccompanied, and comes to our Singarounds.

    • There has been some movement in the work on the playground but it appears to be to remove the bags of materials that had been placed near the works.
    • You're sounding a bit Reform there aren't you @malumbu Because this time four years ago he, and his party, were calling on voters to do the polar opposite. Actually, I would probably be quite fun on Question Time - you know those sanguine pragmatists who treat all politicians the same and aren't blinded by their own ideology and actually insist on proper answers - one of those pesky floating voters who actually nearly always determine the outcome of elections. @CPR Dave you pointedly show how far-left parties always kill themselves from within - because the rag-tag collection of various fringe groups always leads to one thing - infighting. We all know it won't end well for the Greens.
    • Mal. Yours is a very idealistic portrait of Margaret Thatcher. That’s not the case and I standby what I’ve written.
    • I'm not convinced that BoE calculator tackles house prices. I think it's only goods and services - e.g. I think 465k in 1997 would buy you the same amount of bananas as £929k would now. but it can't include house prices. Or bitcoins or shares or other investments.
