Attempted Break In? (East Dulwich Grove / Melbourne Grove)

This is just a warning to those around the East Dulwich Grove / Melbourne Grove area to be alert.

I woke up at 06:30 this morning to find someone attempting to trespass into my garden. No idea how far he would have got in trying to break into my house if I hadn't disturbed him.

He was wearing a dark coloured cap, black jacket and blue trousers and what looked to be a screwdriver in hand. He sounded Eastern European as he had the audacity to ask for help whilst trying to climb into my garden.

Why did you not call 911 immediately? An intruder is bad news and may be carrying a knife or gun.

Probably because we live in England and not the States....

Ah - that's why the Police don't come. A serious point, regardless of my 911/999 blunder.

Definitely call police they may be able to catch the guy.
