Should government shrink in line with industry

Industry and shops are reducing in size and number as the recession bites, should the government be exempt?

Should politicians be made redundant alongside financial advisers, estate agents, bankers?

Should we have excessively large government when the economy is melting faster than ice caps at the poles?

Wont affect the top jobs but they will make cuts in local councils and that will affect services.
