Room wanted Aug-Oct (approx)

Hello - Me and my sister are gutting out and renovating our house in East Dulwich. We're looking to move out for some of the time whilst the builders are in to speed up the works. We're looking for a double room to let short term for approx. a month between Aug and Oct in ED. We're still confirming the start date of the works so won't know exact timings for another week or so. We plan to have minimal belongings with us (aiming to live out of a suitcase) and we both work long hours in the city so we won't be in the place much. We're also very clean and tidy! :)

Please PM me if you'd like some extra cash for a spare room for a few weeks or maybe some friendly house sitters whilst you're away. We'd be happy to meet for a drink/coffee to chat further. We'd also welcome any tips/advice on building and renovation of Victorian properties if you've been through it!

Thanks!

Jan

Hello :)

Did you find somewhere?

If you're still looking let me know, we're in Telegraph Hill and have a one bed flat that you may be interested to look at.

You can see it here, we're asking for ?950 p/m + council tax.

We've just bought a Victorian to do up, our previous one was in Queens Road Peckham - we sold last year to take on a new project!

Let me know if you'd like to meet.

Sarah

    • It’s already been scaled down by those who don’t want change for the last 15+ years
    • It's about scale.  London was a low rise city and the massive developments in the Elephant, Vauxhall Cross, the City and no doubt elsewhere have come from Livingstone's time as Mayor where he recognised that we need far more office space in London to compete on the world financial circuit,  That said interesting that there is still massive investment in retail such as Battersea Power Station and Kings Cross at a time where more and more purchases are on line. As with everything there is probably an acceptable compromise and perhaps the project will be scaled down a little.
