I wasn't aware that these could be done in the Warehouse (indoor market near Costa). I think it was mentioned on the forum previously but for all those looking for somewhere local to get baby passport pics done,'Shot by the Sheriff photography'- I can't recommend them highly enough. It was quick and easy and we got loads of lovely pics in just a few minutes. They charge 10 pounds but that can be used against a photo shoot if you choose to have one at a later date. All set for our hols now!

Hi everyone,

thanks for the comments above.

Here is a refresher of the passport service we offer.

I run the photographic studio in the ED Warehouse (behind Cafe Nero - Lordship Lane). We do passports here - please call first ( 07973 504 522 or 0800 03 777 03 ) as I am often working in the studio already or working on location away from the studio.

We charge ?10 for passport photos and we give a voucher to everyone who has a passport done that they can use against any future portraits booked with us thus making the passport photo free should you choose to book a portrait session.

We have the official 10% grey background required by the passport office and also specialist software that ensures the head size is the exact required size. We also have the same checking template that the post office use. We also have a Bumbo seat for babies to be supported in.

We guarantee acceptance by the Passport Office and will also not charge if the baby throws a paddy and I am unable to get a nice picture (very rare but kids will be kids and it does happen).

We supply a minimum of 4 photos and a photo keyring(for babies and kids).

We have supplied passport photos to many different nationalities meeting their countries particular requirements.

We print on dye sublimation printers that are fast ( 22 seconds ) and on paper that is acceptable to all countries passport offices.

Hope this helps,

Keith and Nicky Sheriff

Hi Everyone,

after almost 3 happy years of trading at the ED Warehouse on Zenoria Street Shot by the Sheriff Photography have moved.

We are still in East Dulwich - just off Lordship Lane.

We are now in a lovely 2 story mews house in - THE OLD STABLE HOUSE behind Jo Partridge hairdressers on Northcross Road.

Just a reminder that this is not a pop in studio - you always need to book an appointment, as we operate a very busy studio and do not wish you to have a wasted trip if we are already on a shoot.

Thanks,

Keith and Nicky Sheriff

Hi Everyone,

Just a little update on the pricing for our passport service here at Shot by The Sheriff Photography.

All UK passports for adults and children/babies that are able to sit up (I don't mind if they need to use the Bumbo seat that we have to aid them) are going to be charged at ?15.

All UK passport photos for babies that cannot sit up (even with the help of Bumbo seat - i.e most babies under about 12 weeks old) and must therefore be photographed lying down are now going to be charged at ?20.

Any NON-UK passport or visa photos for adults or children are also now ?20.

The reason for this price increase (our first since September 2007) has a number of reasons.

Firstly we are getting an increasing number of people who have used either an online service / photobooth or just a not very good photographer who have had their photos refused by the passport office (some EVEN AFTER using the Post Office "Check and Send" service !)

We have never had a passport or visa photo refused because we will spend the time necessary to get what is needed. With babies this often involves 1/2 hour of our time (sometimes more if the baby needs feeding/changing).

As for the NON-UK passports it's just a case of having to look up the different countries passport photo guidlines as many have been changing them month to month or are just plain time consuming to do (giving head sizes in percentages of the photo size rather than in milimeters for example !)

We did try to withdraw our passport service at the begining of the year because they were just not cost effective for us to continue doing at the standard we like to maintain but due to demaand have decided to keep it going.

You are of course welcome to try other services but if you want a hassle free quality photo (we are not snappy snaps after all) that has guaranteed acceptance by the passport office please come and see us.

Just a reminder that this is not a pop in studio - you always need to book an appointment, as we operate a very busy studio and do not wish you to have a wasted trip if we are already on a shoot.

We are located off Lordship Lane up North Cross Road at No4 The Old Stable House. Look for the blue iron gates next to Jo Partidge's Hair.

Thanks,

Keith and Nicky Sheriff

    • Malumbu, you're absolutely right. The vet bills due to attacks on neighbouring cats are certainly not insignificant at all. The wounds can even lead to fatalities. I always urge clients, neighbours & community posters to target the root cause, as opposed to skirting around the underlying & often persistent issue. Connecting with local organisations like Celia Hammond Animal Trust, Cats Protection or Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives is a longterm solution. This is heighlighted, although briefly, under Improving Community Wellbeing. - I'd also like to highlight that if ever unsure whether the culprit is intact, owned or feral, & are hesitant to report, just in case it's a neighbour's neutered cat, you can call upon a Scan Angel or our team at TWB to check for a microchip first. - If the culprit does happen to be a neighbour's neutered cat, there are a variety of solution; both immediate & longterm that I would be more than happy to help with.
