For All Families struggling through the credit crunch but still need to provide birthday cakes, balloons and entertainment on their little angel/s special day.

I have a website www.thecouturecookieshop.co.uk

I offer a wonderfully large selection of scrumptious celebration cakes and cookies. Look on the Valentines range page and see what you could buy for your loved one this year too !

On a serious note although my products are excellent in value and quality I have noticed a dramatic decline in orders since the credit crunch hit the UK - to help with this I decided to introduce a new service called - Dress Your Cake !!

This enables parents to purchase inexpensive cakes from their local supermarkets and I will 'dress them' with handcrafted cake toppers ( edible too ! ), your child's name, age and several swirls, hearts, circles, stars or flowers to further decorate the top and sides of the cake. Once the masterpiece is complete it will look fantastic, taste scrumptious and most of all it won't burn a hole in your pocket !

Go to the sugarcraft page on www.thecouturecookieshop.co.uk to see a selection of my recent 3d edible cake toppers .....

    • Typically the way 'family run businesses' operate is either to have family members continue the business, or to sell on, either as a site (in this instance) or as a going concern. Either which way this is the way the owners create a 'pension' from the business. The number of suggestions as to alternatives makes me feel that the market for small repairing garages locally may be well served, so selling on the site makes the best financial sense for the owners. It's a sign not of the times but of normal business realities.
    • I agree it's a shame, but it is not a "sign of the times", unless you think that up to now people have never grown older and retired!
