Does anyone know if there is a bus that goes to richmond park? i seem to remember it is a long walk from the train station to the park?

Yes there are a couple that leave from in front of the station. One goes around to the Dysart pub from where you can walk up to the park (65). Another takes you a bit round the houses but stops very close to the main Richmond gate (371).
