Looking for people who would look after dogs in their homes

Recommended Posts

I have recently built a website that connects dog owners with people who will look after dogs in their homes. It is early days but we had our first stay this week - Rocket the Cavapoo, who stayed with Sarah and family while the owners took a short break.

We are looking for more Carers who can look after the likes of Rocket. They need to work from home, have retired, a full time Mum/Dad or maybe are studying. In short they need to be around for their new dog pals. It is a chance to earn some money and have the pleasure of the company of the likes of Rocket.

I would be delighted to hear from you if you can help, or know someone who might be interested.

Thanks for the interest. Dogs Second Home looks to provide an online community for dog lovers. People can go on to the website and search for people in their area who would be willing to look after their dog. It is aimed at ordinary folks but there is no reason why a "professional" could not be a Carer. You would simply go on and build a profile so in effect it becomes another way of advertising their service. www.dogssecondhome.co.uk

If you have any queries do feel free to give me a call.

Best

    • We had one that projected stars and played lullabies. It was a soft toy bee with a hard plastic back. I know we used it but can’t recall how effective it was.  What was brilliant was the Lulla sleep doll which has a heart beat sound. That was a critical sleep aid for the first couple of years.
    • Hmmm, millions of animals are killed each year to eat in this country.  10,000 animals (maybe many more) reared to be eaten by exotic pets, dissected by students, experimented on by cosmetic and medical companies.  Why is this any different? Unless you have a vegan lifestyle most of us aren't in a position to judge.  I've not eaten meat for years, try not to buy leather and other animal products as much as possible but don't read every label, and have to live with the fact that for every female chick bred to (unaturally) lay eggs for me to eat, there will be male that is likely top be slaughtered, ditto for the cow/milk machines - again unnatural. I wasn't aware that there was this sort of market, but there must be a demand for it and doubt if it is breaking any sort of law. Happy to be proved wrong on anything and everything.
