Garden planting

Hello, I am re-working our front and back gardens. I have found a contractor to do the hard landscaping (re-turfing, deck, paths etc) but now need to find someone knowledgeable and creative to plant up the borders and then maintain the garden going forward. I would like quite formal planting at the front and informal at the back. Any recommendations? Or any gardeners out there who would be interested in taking this on?

  Well if you did get anywhere please let me know... we have speed cushions outside our property in Honor Oak Road, my house has been being shaken along with the accompanying noise since 2008.. the council just keeps telling me it not the speed cushions and we are too far away from them.
